Shinjo

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. What Shinjo Is

Shinjo is a non-custodial interface to the PoolTogether V5 protocol and associated yield sources. Shinjo does not hold, control, or have access to your funds at any time. All deposits, withdrawals, and prize distributions are executed by on-chain smart contracts.

Shinjo is not a bank, broker, custodian, exchange, or financial advisor. No fiduciary relationship exists between Shinjo and its users.

2. Smart Contract Risk

By using Shinjo, you interact directly with smart contracts deployed on public blockchains. These contracts carry inherent risks including but not limited to:

  • Smart contract bugs or exploits, despite audits by C4, Macro, Spearbit, and Cantina
  • Blockchain network failures, congestion, or reorganizations
  • Oracle or randomness failures affecting prize distribution
  • Yield source risks — underlying protocols (Morpho, Euler, Fluid, yo.xyz) may experience losses
  • Bridge or L2 sequencer risks on Base and World Chain

You use Shinjo and the underlying protocols entirely at your own risk. Shinjo provides no guarantees regarding the security, performance, or availability of any smart contract.

3. No Investment Advice

Nothing on Shinjo constitutes investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Prize-linked savings products involve risk. Past prize distributions do not guarantee future results. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

4. Eligibility & Geographic Restrictions

Shinjo is not available in the following jurisdictions:

Algeria, Australia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, China (mainland), Cuba, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, North Korea, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Syria, United Arab Emirates, United States, Venezuela.

Users in sanctioned jurisdictions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Venezuela, Belarus) are fully restricted in compliance with applicable sanctions regulations. Users in other restricted jurisdictions may retain withdrawal access for existing deposits.

By using Shinjo, you represent that you are not located in, incorporated in, or a citizen or resident of any restricted jurisdiction, and that you are not subject to sanctions administered by OFAC, the UN, or the EU.

5. Non-Custodial Nature

Shinjo is a frontend interface only. Your assets are held in smart contracts on public blockchains, not by Shinjo. Shinjo cannot:

  • Access, move, freeze, or seize your funds
  • Reverse or modify any transaction
  • Recover lost private keys or wallet access
  • Guarantee uptime or availability of the interface

If the Shinjo interface becomes unavailable, you can interact with the underlying PoolTogether V5 contracts directly through any compatible interface or block explorer.

6. Fees

Shinjo applies a 5% fee on yield generated by deposits. This fee is deducted from yield only — your deposited principal is never reduced by fees. Network gas fees are paid by you and are determined by the underlying blockchain, not by Shinjo.

7. Prize Distribution

Prizes are distributed by the PoolTogether V5 protocol's on-chain random number generation and claim process. Shinjo does not control prize amounts, frequency, odds, or distribution. Daily draws award smaller prizes; the Grand Prize is awarded approximately quarterly. Prize amounts depend on total deposits, yield rates, and protocol parameters.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shinjo and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the interface or the underlying protocols, including but not limited to loss of funds, loss of profits, or loss of data.

9. Changes to Terms

Shinjo may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the interface after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the interface.
